Updated 09.28.14
The Entity Articles feature is provided to designated personnel with our broker partners to assist in creating broker-specific eNewsletter content. Entity Articles can be created at the Broker, Regional or Office level. Need permission? Let us know. To create articles at the agent level, see our instructions on Personal Articles.
First, a few notes about SOURCES for your content. NewPanda accepts no liability for Entity level content either created or provided by our enterprise partners.
Remember, Entity Articles will appear in every active member's eNewsletters, at and below the entity level to which you have Administrative Access for the membership to which you are logging in. For example, if your Administrative access is at a branch level, your Entity Articles will appear for members associated with your branch. Similarly, if your Administrative access is at a Corporate or Regional level, the Entity Articles will appear accordingly unless you select a specific sub-entity or entities.
Entity Articles appear AFTER an individual user's Personal Articles and BEFORE NewPanda-provided article content.
1. Click the Real Estate Tools tab, then click Entity Articles from the sub-menu
2. Click Entity Articles from the menu options on the left
3. Click the Add link to create new content, or click the edit icon of an existing article to edit
or manage it. Click Show Disabled Articles to work with articles you have archived.
4. The editing page will open. To creating a new article or edit an existing one:
a. In the Article Type section, leave the default selection, Local Updates. These articles will
appear first in your eNewsletter (before any NewPanda-provided or corporate-provided
content).
b. In the Headline field, enter or update your article Headline. Headlines should be as brief as
possible, ideally be no more than twelve (12) words.
c. In the Teaser Summary field, enter or edit one or two sentences of copy to appear as a
teaser paragraph to draw reader interest for your main article. We'll supply a "Read More"
link for recipients to access the entire article. NOTE that there is a character limit for the
teaser summary.
d. In the Full Page Article field, enter the complete article text that should appear when
recipients click the "Read More" link. Here you have two options:
1. Use our flexible interface to create text, insert images, fancify your content to your
heart's desire.
2. Write or paste HTML using the HTML feature option at the bottom of the message editor.
(See alarming disclaimers below).
e. Use the Save button in the bottom right corner of the page OFTEN when creating your content.
Use the Cancel button to undo any changes since your last SAVE and revert to the prior version.
f. Be sure to take advantage of the built-in Spell Check feature to keep it professional! The Spell
Check feature will not catch grammatical errors or words that when spelled incorrectly, result in a
correctly-spelled (different) word (such as miss-typing "is" as "it").
g. Use the Choose File feature located below the Article Text field to search for and upload a .JPG
(preferable) or .GIF thumbnail image to appear in the teaser portion of your eNewsletter
(Ideal image size is less than 75K or 100 pixels wide and default height -- we display 72 dpi).
h. Scroll down to the Add This Article to the Following Upcoming Issues section of the page to
select the editions you wish your articles to appear in. To select multiple issues, hold your
SHIFT key (consecutive dates) or CONTROL key (non consecutive dates) while selecting dates.
If you skip this step, your article will not appear in any eNewsletters.
5. Choose the target office for the article. Depending on your access level, you may be able to
choose from an organizational heirarchy (say, Corporate level, Civisional Level, Regional level,
OR Office level). In this case, the lowest level you choose and any sub-levels associated
with it will see the article.
Example: If you choose a Regional level (let's say Northeast) that has 6 sub-entities (let's
say Boston, Bangor, New York, Providence, DC and Baltimore), by selecting the
Northeast level and no sub-entities, all affiliates of the Northeast level will see
the article.
6. Click Save when done creating / editing. You'll be taken back to the Entity Articles main
page.
Disabling Entity Articles
To DISABLE your article, use the Disable This Article check box at the bottom of the editing page to ensure it does not appear in ANY eNewsletters. Entity Articles cannot currently be deleted.
