The "Remember Me" feature was designed so that when your session ends (either by you logging out or by our system ending your session due to inactivity), it clears the login cookie. Because we have so many users that login on public ("office") computers, we have had to develop the Remember Me button to function this way. While the Remember Me button won't work like some you're used to, it's designed both for convenience of users logging in and out, as well as for protection of our users that login on non-personal computers.
