8.5. Creating Manual eGreetings for Immediate Send

To Create and Immediately Send an eGreeting:


1. Login to your Relationship Manager tools

2. Select the eGreetings option from the menu bar ion the left side of your screen
 
3. Select the eGreeting category of your choice
   


4. Choose an individual greeting by clicking on the appropriate thumbnail
Choose Greeting
The Customize Your Greeting page will open for the eGreeting selected

 
5. Use the Optional Add a Message to Recipients field to enter the custom message you would like
    to send

6. Optional: Update the Email subject line for an extra personal touch.  If you do not update the
    Email subject line, the default subject will be "You have a new eGreeting!"

  

7. Salutation: By default, the salutation ("Dear Bob," etc.) will be automatically supplied by us. 
    Data will be pulled for the Salutation as follows, with the word "Dear" pre-appended:
 
       a. Dear Name field    (Dear <Dear Name>)
 
       b. If Dear Name field is blank, First Name field will be pulled   (Dear <First Name>)
 
       c. If First Name field is blank, salutation will read "Greetings,"
 
    It is also important to note that the data for these fields is pulled exactly as it exists in your
    database, including case sensitivity, prefixes (Mr./Mrs., etc.), typographical errors and data that
    has been imported into the incorrect field

    Alternately, you can choose to Suppress the display of the salutation.  In this case, you can add
    your own salutation, such as Happy Spring! in the "Add a message to recipeints" section.  If you
    select this option, remember to make your salutation generic if sending your eGreeting to more
    than one recipient.  To suppress the default salutation, click in the checkbox:

   


8. From the Select Your Recipients section,
 
      a. Click the Entire Contact List radio button to send the greeting to every contact within your
          database for whom an email address is present 

 OR
      b. Click the Contact Group radio button to send the greeting to a specific Group or Groups
          (select your group by using the drop-down menu).  Hold your SHIFT key to select multiple,
          CONSECUTIVE groups; use your CONTROL key to select multiple, NON-CONSECUTIVE groups

           NOTE: If you're sending an eGreeting to more than one Group, our system will automatically
                     check for and remove duplicate email addresses, so that recipients belonging to 
                     several groups will not receive multiple copies of the same eGreeting SEND  

 
 

OR
      c. Click the Recipient List radio button to choose individual recipients from your contact
          database (select the individuals by clicking on them and using the << arrows to move them
          into the "Recipient List" field on the LEFT.  Hold your SHIFT key to select multiple,
          CONSECUTIVE recipients; use your CONTROL key to select multiple, NON-
          CONSECUTIVE recipients

9. From the Schedule Your Greeting section, check the Immediately radio button  

  


   Note: Immediately means "Right Now!" and overrides any dates you enter in the date field below it.

 
10. PREVIEW your eGreeting by clicking the Preview button check grammar, spelling and overall
     appearance.  You may edit and re-Preview your eGreeting as many times as necessary prior to
     sending.

 
11. Once you have confirmed the information is correct, click the SEND button.  The eGreeting will be
     sent to our SEND queue.  At this point the eGreeting is not retreivable, editable or deletable.  It
     may take up to several minutes for the eGreeting to leave our queue depending on volume.
